Description

If modeling AAC were as easy as it sounds AAC users would be having the same level of modeling as their verbal peers. Unfortunately, we are not there yet. In this presentation, we will provide the research background on Aided Language Input, explain aspects and skills related to utilizing it in your practice, and provide practical examples of implementation into real life whether in a school, community or home situation. Learn how to model because it should be as easy as it sounds. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own device and AAC apps. Presenters will provide static core boards for participants that do not have access to an AAC app.
