This session highlights principals of sound data exploring the QIAT Indicator: Evaluation of Effectiveness. Critical questions regarding documenting achievement, identifying barriers and supporting recommendations will be addressed. With shrinking budgets, purchase of AT must be carefully considered and documented to select the best tools. Which strategies are most appropriate for a student? What needs to be measured? Whose job is it to design, collect analyze, share and respond to the data? How often should data be collected and analyzed? Who makes final decisions regarding purchases and how is that decision made? Discussion will address these questions and include both student and personal considerations with fun, engaging real life examples of how data can accomplish its purpose, identify student success and still be your friend.
