Description:
This session will showcase engaging, real-world ways to transform data collection into a collaborative and motivating process within the framework of Project VC and can be applied for other data tracking goals. Participants will explore how teams will gamify data collection using creative tools such as Data Collection Bingo and other flexible formats designed to increase participation from paraprofessionals and staff. The session will then highlight how data will be compiled across district timelines (e.g., quarterly or trimester) and turned into meaningful products, including student portfolios and growth stories. Attendees will interact with concrete examples, templates, and ready-to-use resources. By the end, participants will leave with practical strategies to increase consistency, boost team buy-in, and make data collection both meaningful and energizing.
Learning Outcomes:
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:
• As a result of this activity, participants will be able to design at least two gamified data collection tools (e.g., Data Collection Bingo or similar formats) tailored to their setting and student needs.
• As a result of this activity, participants will be able to implement a team-based data collection system that includes at least three strategies for increasing participation from paraprofessionals and interdisciplinary staff.
