Description:
This presentation will share outcomes of mentoring programs designed to improve AT and AEM services, and support for educators serving students with low incidence disabilities. Representatives of the Minnesota Mentor Program and the Joy Zabala Fellowship in AT and AEM will share experiences, lessons learned, and ideas to create mentoring opportunities in your own practice.
Learning Outcomes:
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:
• Identify three benefits of mentoring for educators.
• Identify three barriers to teacher retention.
• List at least three formal and informal opportunities for mentoring relationships.
