Description:

This session empowers educators to integrate iPad accessibility features into K-12 classrooms. Participants will explore built-in tools that support reading, writing, math, and executive functioning by matching features to specific task demands. Attendees will learn about current and new iPad accessibility updates through demonstrations. The session also highlights creative ways to train staff and students on these features and gain their buy-in. Emphasizing UDL principles, educators will discover how to create inclusive environments that benefit all learners.

Learning Outcomes:

As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:

• Identify how built-in iPad tools can support diverse student needs and foster independence across reading, writing, math, and executive functioning.

• Identify how to pair specific iPad accessibility features with task demands.

• Identify a variety of ways to train educators and students on iPad accessibility tools.
