Description:

This session will showcase how generative AI can act as a collaborator in designing dynamic learning activities for entry-level graduate occupational therapy students. Participants will see examples of AI-generated escape rooms, interactive lab stations, and case-based learning exercises that enhance student engagement and understanding of assistive technology. The session will provide a hands-on look at how AI tools can assist educators in developing these activities, discuss best practices for implementation, and compare various AI-based educational platforms. Attendees will gain actionable insights and practical guidance for integrating AI into OT curricula to support diverse learning needs.

Learning Outcomes:

As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:

• Identify three GenAI tools used to co-create educational materials.

• Describe how GenAI can be leveraged as a collaborative tool to design syllabi, learning objectives, learning activities, and rubrics.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of AI-assisted instructional strategies through real-world examples and performance data.
