Description:
Participants will learn how to use generative AI image tools to support spontaneous novel utterance generation (SNUG) in multi-modal communicators of all ages. Discussion will focus on utilizing generative AI image tools to support an errorless learning approach, address diverse goal areas, and increase students’ motivation and confidence during learning opportunities. Examples of the application of generative AI image tools (e.g., shared writing lessons, videos of lessons) will be provided throughout the presentation. Participants will get hands-on experience utilizing generative AI image tools to support a variety of students.
Learning Outcomes:
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:
• Define errorless learning and describe how using generative AI image tools supports spontaneous novel utterance generation in multi-modal communicators.
• Identify at least three goal areas that can be addressed using generative AI image tools during lessons.
• Identify the supports needed to design multi-sensory lessons using generative AI image tools and a least to most prompting hierarchy (e.g., open ended questions, categorical prompts, options, spinners).
