Description:
In this session, participants will explore how the Nevada Special Education Technology Assistance Project (NSETAP) uses differentiated professional learning to support assistive technology (AT) implementation across diverse educational settings. Attendees will examine three aligned strategies: Project ECHO Nevada’s virtual case-based learning, an in-person scope and sequence with workshops and coaching, and the AT Consortium, which supports leaders and specialists through statewide collaboration. Presenters will guide participants through the structure and flow of each model, share real-world examples, and provide access to planning tools, coaching resources, and implementation data. Participants will leave with concrete strategies to design or enhance their own personalized AT professional learning systems that build capacity, increase fidelity, and improve outcomes for individuals with disabilities.
Learning Outcomes:
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:
• Describe how Project ECHO Nevada and the Assistive Technology Consortium support collaborative, differentiated professional learning for assistive technology (AT) implementation.
• Analyze the structure and impact of NSETAP’s differentiated professional learning scope and sequence as a model for Assistive Technology training, coaching, and consulting.
• Design a personalized professional learning model that integrates virtual learning, in-person training, coaching, and consulting to support effective and sustainable Assistive Technology practice change.
