Description:
Participants will leave this session with tears in their eyes, tears of joy that is. We will spend time going back to the ideas of play and how they can help our students adopt the assistive technologies they need, regardless of the task-demand. You will leave with ideas for sessions, to pass on to teachers and administrators, and some ideas for some fun products that you may rush to see in the exhibit hall or buy on your phone right there. I promise you will look smart and feel confident to forth and feel more playful and purposeful in your practice.
Learning Outcomes:
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:
• State two strategies for promoting adoption of assistive technologies.
• Identify three ways in which play can influence learning.
• Identify five tools using the task demand analysis to support play for students in a myriad of environments.
