Allison Smith

Experience

Allison is a speech-language pathologist at a public separate day school for students with significant disabilities. Her caseload at this time includes students from the Early Childhood (ages 3-5) and High School (grades 9-10) departments. Allison supports students in developing functional communication and receptive/expressive language skills to improve participation in classroom and community activities. She specializes in the assessment and implementation of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and Allison regularly provides instruction regarding the incorporation of core vocabulary into functional and academic activities across environments.
