Experience

Laura Clarke has teaching certifications in Kentucky for Learning & Behavior Disabiltiies, Moderate to Severe Disabilities, and Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education. She has her Director of Special Education certification and obtained a doctorate from the University of Cincinnati. Laura has published in TEACHING Exceptional Children, Beyond Behavior, Teacher Education and Special Education, and Preventing School Failure. Laura created an Emerging Reader and Writer site that provides alphabet books following the guidelines provided in Karen Erickson & David Koppehaver's Comprehensive Literacy for All. Laura is the parent of a son with Autism and an Intellectual Disability and will share her experiences as a parent and educator.
