Experience

Lianna Genovese is a biomedical and mechanical engineer and the CEO & Founder of ImaginAble Solutions, a women-led company developing assistive technology for people with disabilities. A trailblazer in disability innovation, Lianna invented Guided Hands® at just 19 years old for her friend with Cerebral Palsy. Today, at 25, Guided Hands® is an international award-winning assistive device used by children and adults in schools, hospitals, and homes across 25 countries, enabling those with limited hand mobility to write, paint, draw, and use communication devices or apps. Lianna has received over 40 awards, including the James Dyson Engineering Award and the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award, recognizing her and her team’s impact in the disability space and their work making self-expression accessible for people with disabilities. Lianna is a passionate disability advocate and public speaker, emphasizing the importance of disability innovation to create a more accessible world.
