Experience

Sara Lucas-Dreiss is an Adaptive Fine Arts Specialist, Assistive Technology Maker, and National Board Certified Exceptional Needs Specialist working across the spectrum of disability, specializing in low incidence disabilities. She travels the country building educator capacity and working to improve access for all, and is included in SEADAE's federal grant as the premier adaptive fine arts professional development specialist. This year alone, Sara has presented sessions and workshops at conferences for the Council for Exceptional Children, Assistive Technology Industry Association, National Art Education Association, Closing The Gap, and SEADAE, in addition to state, local, and university engagements where she works with graduate Occupational Therapy and undergraduate Engineering students. For over a quarter century, Sara has drawn from her own experiences as an individual with multiple disabilities to improve accessibility and equity for marginalized populations.
