Presenter-provided Abstract:

Educators and therapists frequently find themselves trapped in a cycle of being "busy"—managing spreadsheets, drafting IEPs, and organizing data—leaving less time for the high-impact, direct student interactions that are at the heart of their profession. This full-day, hands-on intensive workshop is designed to break that cycle, moving participants from a state of overwhelm to one of empowered productivity.

"From Busy to Productive" provides a deep dive into the transformative potential of Google Workspace and the latest 2026 releases in Google AI. We move far beyond basic proficiency, exploring advanced, "hidden" productivity hacks that turn standard tools into specialized engines for inclusive education. Participants will learn how to leverage Gemini, Google’s generative AI, to act as a digital co-pilot, and explore the new frontier of Google Workspace Studio to build custom "AI Agents" that automate repetitive administrative tasks. We will dive into the newest actionable dashboards in Google Classroom that summarize student progress and draft assignments based on live data, while also exploring how Google Vids can storyboard and generate instructional or social-emotional learning videos in minutes.

The session will further demonstrate how AI can assist in drafting personalized IEP goals, summarizing lengthy progress notes for parental communication, and utilizing NotebookLM to transform static therapy guides into interactive audio overviews for on-the-go review. This session is not a traditional lecture; it is a hands-on laboratory. The day is structured around the idea that attendees will directly apply what they learn to their own real-world challenges, utilizing AI to instantly generate visual schedules, social stories, and tiered reading materials in a fraction of the time it takes using traditional methods.

By the end of this deep dive, special educators, therapists, and administrators will walk away with more than just ideas—they will leave with a personalized toolkit of AI-enhanced workflows ready for immediate implementation. Secure your spot in this intensive session to leave "busy work" behind and step confidently into a future of truly impactful, AI-supported inclusive education.
