Experience
Erin is a speech-language pathologist at a public separate day school for students with significant disabilities which serves students ages 3-21 years. Her caseload at this time includes students from the Early Childhood (ages 3-5) and Elementary (grades 4-5) departments. Prior to working in the school setting, she gained professional experience working in pediatric outpatient and skilled nursing. Erin has experience with supporting individuals, across the lifespan, in developing expressive/receptive language skills and learning functional communication strategies to maximize their quality of life and promote as much independence as possible in their home and community environments. She specializes in the assessment and implementation of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and Erin regularly provides instruction regarding the incorporation of core vocabulary into functional and academic activities across environments.
