Danielle has worked in the field of blindness and visual impairment since 2006. She began  at Visions Services for the Blind as Assistant Director of their camp program, VCB. She ran support groups at the Light House Guild Saturday Teen Program for 11 years and has been a Teacher of the Visually Impaired since 2015. Before her start at iHOPE in 2021, Danielle worked in the NYC Department of Education as a TVI for 5 years. She is a board member of the New York State Association for Education and Rehabilitation for people with vision loss. Danielle has worked to ensure equity for students with vision and hearing loss through access to communication, academic content, and social interactions. Danielle holds an MS in Counseling, a 6th yr. in Mental Health Counseling and is a licensed therapist in NYS. She also holds an MEd with certifications in teaching blind and visually impaired students as well as general education grades 1-6.
