
With over 15 years of experience in special education, Tova brings a wealth of expertise to her role as Director of Education at iHOPE. Her extensive classroom experience, spanning early childhood, elementary, and high school levels within self-contained settings, has provided her with a deep understanding of the unique needs of students and educators. At iHOPE, she is committed to advancing students’ literacy skills and empowering them to express themselves by being active participants in their learning through the use of assistive technology. Tova develops and implements targeted curricula and provides professional development for staff to support these initiatives. A frequent presenter at international conferences, she shares her expertise in maximizing student engagement, creating personally meaningful experiences and building literacy skills for students with significant disabilities. Her passion for literacy has also led her to author a children’s book. She holds an MS in Special Education and certifications in general and special education (birth-grade 2, 1-6), with an annotation for teaching students with severe and multiple disabilities and is a certified teaching mentor.
