Lindsey has been a member of the iHOPE family since 2015. She began as a senior special education teacher before taking on the role of Director of Education in 2022. She is passionate about working with students with multiple disabilities and developing curricula that meet the needs of children and young adults with complex learning needs. As an educator, Lindsey has specialized in working with individuals with dual sensory impairment and teaching self-advocacy and transition skills to teenagers and young adults in iHOPE’s upper school. Lindsey has a BS in Childhood Education/Special Education and Journalism from New York University, and a Master’s of Education in Severe & Multiple Disabilities Including Deafblindness from Hunter College. She enjoys reading and writing, and especially loves passing on this love of literacy to our iHOPE students!
