Experience
With 13 years in education, I’ve remained committed to supporting students with complex learning needs. I began as a special education assistant, then spent six years as a self-contained special education teacher across grades K–10. These classroom experiences inspired my transition to an Instructional Coach role, where I supported teachers in refining their instructional practices. I co-led the implementation of a comprehensive school-wide literacy curriculum, providing professional development, individualized coaching, and ongoing support to build teacher confidence and improve student outcomes. Now, as a District Consultant/Coach working across both special and general education settings, I continue to advocate for inclusive practices and help educators implement high-quality emergent and conventional literacy instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
