Description:

In the future session, individuals will explore the potential of iPads in Assistive Technology. The session will begin with an introduction to Versa products and their role in enhancing accessibility. Participants will then receive a walkthrough of VersaWrap and VersaSpeaker, demonstrating their benefits in daily activities. Next, the session will cover eye-tracking technology, focusing on VersaEye and Hiru by IRISBOND, and how eye gaze control integrates with iPads. The practical application segment will involve setting up VersaEye, navigating iPads using eye gaze, and utilizing iOS Assistive Touch features. The session will conclude with a Q&A, discussing AAC activities, real-life scenarios, and the accessibility improvements Versa™ products offer across various environments.

Learning Outcomes:

As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:

• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the Versa™ and VersaEye® products, by stating at least two functionalities or features of the Versa products and how they integrate with iPads to enhance accessibility.

• Describe how to initially set up the VersaEye® with Hiru by IRISBOND for eye gaze control, enabling them to access and navigate iPads using eye-tracking technology.

• State 3 activities in which to incorporate Versa products into daily activities across home, school, work, and recreational environments, improving communication, accessibility, and productivity.
