Tammy Bruegger is an Assistant Professor in Occupational Therapy at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri, a RESNA certified Assistive Technology Practitioner, Special Educator and Occupational Therapist in Kansas City, Mo. for over 40 years. She has worked in a variety of settings with children and adults who have visual impairment and other complex, neurological conditions. She has presented on and is currently conducting research on cortical/cerebral visual impairment, coping and resilience, sensory processing and participation of children with visual impairment, assistive technology and other topics concerning children and adults with neurological conditions. Tammy has authored numerous articles and book chapters on occupational therapy with children who have visual impairment, coping and resilience, health literacy and assistive technology/universal design.
