Description:
This session will introduce participants to the innovative, screen-free Talkido system as a tool for bridging gaps in early communication for children with diverse needs. Presenters will first outline key features of a tactile and screen-free system and its role as an accessible, personalized AAC support. Participants will then observe demonstrations of how student-friendly, multi-sensory, and accessible tools and experiences can be implemented to create consistent language routines across school, clinic, and home settings. Real-world case examples will be shared to illustrate how families, educators, and therapists have integrated Talkido into daily practice. The session will conclude with opportunities to compare Talkido-supported strategies to traditional methods, highlighting evidence-based outcomes and practical tips that attendees will be able to apply immediately.
Learning Outcomes:
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:
• Identify the key features and functions of the Talkido system as an assistive technology tool for early language learning and communication.
• Demonstrate two practical implementations of the Talkido system for building consistent and accessible language routines in home, clinic, or school settings.
• Compare the effectiveness of Talkido-supported communication strategies with traditional methods used in early intervention and special education
