Successful AAC implementation starts with confident, comfortable communication partners—including school staff, families, outside providers, and peers. This fast-paced and interactive session will explore creative and practical strategies for delivering meaningful professional development and coaching on AAC. Learn how to fit AAC training into busy schedules, design engaging activities that boost skills and confidence, and access a wealth of ready-to-use resources for AAC professional development. A special focus will be placed on supporting families—helping them feel empowered and equipped to use AAC at home. Whether you’re focusing on core vocabulary, essential partner strategies, or increasing comfort with AAC devices, you’ll leave this session with fresh ideas, hands-on activites,, and innovative approaches to make AAC training more effective and impactful than ever.

Learning Outcomes:

As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:
