Description:

Discover how Bookshare, the world’s largest accessible eBook library, and the new AI-powered Bookshare Plus are transforming inclusive education and bringing UDL to life.

This session opens with the debut of Bookshare Plus, a new tool that converts worksheets, inaccessible PDFs, images, and STEM/math equations into accessible learning experiences, complete with a built-in AI reading companion. From there, we’ll cover how Bookshare works and how qualified students get free access to grade-level content in formats tailored to their needs. Live demos of both tools will bring their features to life, followed by an educator spotlight on real-world classroom implementation.

Educators will leave with practical strategies for using these tools to ensure every student can access materials in the way that works best for them.

Learning Outcomes:

As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:

• As a result of attending this session, participants will be able to describe how Bookshare and Bookshare Plus support UDL principles by providing flexible options for engagement, representation and expression.
