Experience
Michael Kramer is a former film composer who found a new calling after his son Theo lost his voice to DIPG, a rare brain cancer. Following Theo's passing, Michael transformed his grief into purpose — building technology that gives voice to those who have lost theirs. He founded EchoBridge Inc. and built TheOrator, an AI-powered AAC application that addresses a critical gap in assistive technology: enabling real-time, natural conversation for non-verbal individuals. Michael works closely with families and clinicians nationwide, refining TheOrator through extensive real-world testing and feedback. A vocal advocate for ethical AI in assistive technology, he believes these tools can amplify human dignity rather than diminish it. Michael debuted TheOrator at ATIA in January 2025 and is preparing for launch later this year, establishing EchoBridge as a pioneer in AI-powered augmentative communication.
