Experience

Dr. Susie Thomas brings over 28 years of teaching experience, spanning roles as a secondary science teacher for both general education and students who are visually impaired. She has also served as an itinerant Certified Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (CTVI) and Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS) in public schools. Dr. Thomas holds a BS in Secondary English and Biology, an MS in Special Education – Visual Impairments, and an Ed.D. in Instructional Leadership. In addition to her teaching credentials, she is a Certified Braille Transcriber, National Board Certified Teacher, as well as holding a certification in the Fundamentals of Neurodivergence reflecting her deep commitment to inclusive and high-quality education for all learners.
