Experience

Laurie Shaw is a Speech-Language Pathologist who has worked with minimally-speaking and non-speaking communicators in home-based, inpatient, outpatient, school, and telehealth settings since 2008. Laurie has a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from The University of Texas at Austin and Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from California State University Northridge. Laurie maintains her certificate of clinical competence through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, is a recipient of the 2023 ASHA Distinguished Early Career Professional certificate, and is a LAMP Certified Professional (LCP) and LCP Mentor through The Center for AAC and Autism. Through varying roles across an array of settings, Laurie’s clinical practice has evolved into one that is centered around a singular critical theme: joy and human connection. She is passionate about empowering clinicians, caregivers, and people who use AAC through the LAMP Approach.
