Experience
Becky Payne, MAT, CCC-SLP, HPCS, is a Speech-Language Pathologist, Clinical Specialist in Hippotherapy, and nonprofit leader dedicated to advancing functional communication and independence for individuals with complex needs. As Founder and Director of Nature’s Edge Therapy Center, she developed a 65-acre therapy ranch integrating speech therapy, hippotherapy, animal-assisted therapy, and horticulture therapy. She has experience across schools, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation, and long-term care, specializing in AAC, aphasia, dementia, dysphagia, childhood apraxia, and neurorehabilitation. Becky is committed to providing access to medically prescribed therapy regardless of financial limitations. She has presented nationally and internationally on assistive technology, hippotherapy, and communication intervention, and serves as a Pet Partners Evaluator training therapy animal teams.
