Jessica McKay

Experience

Jessica McKay has 17 years of experience in assistive technology (AT) and accessibility. As a former AT specialist at Ysleta ISD in Texas, she championed inclusive education through Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and accessible materials. She later served as Director of Community Programs at Knowbility, creating digital accessibility training for content creators and web developers. Currently, Jessica is the AT Specialist for Accessing Potential Through Assistive Technology (APTAT), Alabama’s AT Act Program. She guides Alabamians with disabilities in using AT to enhance their lives in work, school, and daily living. Her recent work includes providing technical assistance to school districts on AT procedures. Jessica is an advisory member to multiple national programs focused on accessible educational materials, inclusive classrooms, and assistive technology.
