Experience

Bonnie has been a practicing speech-language pathologist (SLP) for 27 years. She has dedicated her career to supporting students and their families with complex communication needs. She is a second generation SLP and is proud to carry her mother's legacy in maintaining high standards in their shared field. Bonnie currently works as a SLP and Assistive Technology Facilitator for Laremont School, a therapeutic school which is part of the Special Education District of Lake County. Laremont is a specialized educational setting for students with complex medical and communication issues. As part of her role as the AT Facilitator for the building, she has the honor of guiding students, staff and families through the process of utilizing an eye gaze enabled speech generating device for communication. It is her students' journeys that inspire her and prompt her to share their stories to help guide others in the field.
