Description:

Attendees will see how Genio Notes uses AI to support deep learning rather than providing shortcuts. The session begins with the learning science behind “productive friction” and how AI should handle boring tasks while keeping students mentally engaged. We will demonstrate how learners use Genio Notes to record audio and use AI for real-time transcription and slide organisation. Participants will then see how students move from simple recording to true mastery by using AI to identify key points and build their own study resources. By following the “capture to mastery” workflow, the presentation shows how Genio’s AI encourages students to think for themselves. The session concludes with practical ways to use AI-powered note taking to build long-term student independence and success.

Learning Outcomes:

As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:

• As a result of this activity, participants will be able to appraise the functionality of the Genio Notes software.

• As a result of this activity, participants will be able to formulate their own opinions on how the Genio Notes software could support individuals with disabilities.

• As a result of this activity, participants will be able to apply their understanding of the Genio software in order to use it themselves.
