Description:
Effective mounting solutions are essential for maximizing independence and ensuring consistent access to assistive technology. Mounting Made Easy explores the practical challenges clinicians and end users face when evaluating mounting needs across diverse environments. This presentation introduces Rehadapt’s product lines with an emphasis on innovative wheelchair mounting solutions, highlighting how customized designs can enhance daily access and empower clients. Clinicians will develop key assessment skills to select the most appropriate mount for each individual, ensuring safe, reliable, and functional technology use.
Learning Outcomes:
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:
• Participants will compare different mounting solutions, including floor stands, table stands/clamps, and wheelchair mounts, and identify appropriate uses for each case.
• Participants will differentiate Rehadapt’s L3D, H3D, and M3D lines of wheelchair mount solutions based on client needs related to their profile of strain (i.e. weight, leverage, and dynamics).
• Participants will formulate the required assessment skills to submit a virtual mounting service (VMS) request to create customized wheelchair mounting solutions for their clients.
