Description:
This session will discuss and demonstrate over 25 different time saving and money saving materials and techniques for rapid DIY device creation. The primary focus we’ll be on creating devices for individuals who experience low vision, blindness, and or multiple disabilities.
Learning Outcomes:
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:
• Participants will be able to identify at least ten of the ABLE principles for fabricating do it yourself assistive technology solutions.
• Participants will be able to identify at least 5 different fabrication materials to select that meet the able principles.
• Participants will be able to identify and describe 3 money saving tips for rapid fabrication of assistive technology solutions
