Description:

Assistive technology specialists often find it challenging to stay up-to-date with the latest research. The purpose of this session is to provide participants with a resource guide for exploring the latest research relevant to special education technology. Particular emphasis will be placed on AI and emerging technologies to understand the application of research to evidence-based practice.

Learning Outcomes:

As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:

• Identify strategies for locating special education technology research.

• Critique AI tools to assist in interpreting research findings.

• Describe how to use AI research summary tools to inform professional practice.
