Experience

Tim Ranis is a National Board Certified Teacher with more than 27 years of experience in special education, supporting high school students with diverse learning needs. He is the creator of KAIIT (Kairo Artificial Intelligence IEP Tool), an educator-developed AI workflow designed to help teachers generate structured IEP drafts, progress monitoring tools, and instructional supports while maintaining full professional oversight. Tim focuses on practical, ethical uses of artificial intelligence that reduce teacher workload and improve clarity in educational documentation. He has presented on AI and assistive technology at national conferences and works with educators to explore responsible ways AI can enhance instruction, accessibility, and student understanding. Tim is also a retired Staff Sergeant from the Wisconsin Army National Guard, bringing a leadership mindset and problem-solving approach to educational innovation.
