Description:
Whether you are new to Comprehensive Literacy for All by Dr. Karen A. Erickson or Dr. David Koppenhaver or you’re looking to breathe new life into your daily routines, this session is your invitation to hit the “refresh” button! We’re moving past the “what if” and diving straight into the “let’s go.” In this collaborative session, we’ll celebrate the progress you’ve already made and identify the high-leverage strategies that turn potential into participation. You’ll walk away feeling empowered, not overwhelmed, with three clear, actionable steps to spark a literacy revolution for your students. Let’s prove together that “all” truly means all – one meaningful gain at a time!
Learning Outcomes:
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:
• Identify and apply one high-leverage strategy from Comprehensive Literacy for All to increase meaningful literacy participation for a student in their classroom.
• Analyze and evaluate common barriers to comprehensive literacy implementation and determine practical instructional pivots to maintain momentum.
• Create three actionable micro-goals (environment, instruction, and community) to immediately strengthen literacy opportunities for all learners.
