Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations must be received in writing by Closing The Gap on or before October 1, 2022. Replacements are welcome and must be submitted in writing. There will be a $100 cancellation fee for each one-day pre conference workshop and each one-day conference registration; a $200 cancellation fee for each two-day pre conference workshop, each three-day conference registration. No refunds after October 1, 2022. Unpaid balances due are due in full.

If for any reason beyond Closing The Gap’s control, Closing The Gap determines that the in-person conference must be cancelled, attendees understand and agree that their registration type shall be changed to a virtual registration. Closing The Gap is not responsible for any additional conference expenses, including hotel, travel, etc. 

HEALTH & SAFETY

As the COVID-19 global pandemic continues, Closing The Gap is both cautiously optimistic and prepared to manage our in-person conference with the health, safety, and well-being of our attendees, staff, presenters, exhibitors, sponsors, and speakers in mind.

We will continue to monitor and update safety precautions regularly and coordinate with trusted national resources, state and local public health agencies. We are working closely with the Hilton Minneapolis on implementing preventative measures including, hand sanitization stations, social distancing, etc. to reduce the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus at Closing The Gap 2022.

We reserve the right to modify these policies and procedures at any time given the rapidly changing nature of the current global pandemic. Updates to the requirements will be dated and reflected below as needed.

COVID Vaccine Recommended (Not Required)

  • At this time, vaccination is recommended for all people 5 years and older. This includes people with underlying medical conditions; people who have had COVID-19, are pregnant, or are immunocompromised; and those of different ages, races, and ethnicities.

    People who have had a life-threatening reaction to a previous dose of COVID-19 vaccine or any ingredient in the vaccine should not get that vaccine. They may want to talk to an allergy specialist. For more information, click here.

Face Masks Not Required

  • In accordance with the latest Minneapolis city-wide mask policy, effective February 24, 2022, Mayor Jacob Frey signed Emergency Regulation 2022-7, immediately lifting the City’s mask requirement established in Emergency Regulation No. 2022-1, which has been in place since January 5, 2022.

Proof of Vaccine or Negative COVID-19 Test Required

  • In accordance with the latest Minneapolis city-wide policy, effective January 26, 2022 all guests ages 5 and older must provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test conducted by a medical professional within 72-hours prior to entering the venue.

    Accepted forms of proof of COVID-19 vaccine are as followed: original vaccine card, photo of original vaccine card or Docket app.

    Completed vaccination status is defined as after an individual has received the second dose in a two-dose series of an approved COVID-19 vaccine or a single dose in a one-dose approved COVID-19 vaccine. A person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after they finish their Completed Vaccination Series.

ADMISSION

Admission to all presentations, exhibits and other conference activities is open only to those who have registered and who are wearing a valid registration badge.

VIDEOGRAPHY

Videography is permitted by Closing The Gap staff only. Unauthorized recording is strictly prohibited.

MOBILE PHONES

Mobile phones must be silenced during presentations.

NOTICE OF FILMING AND PHOTOGRAPHY

By participating in the conference, you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, or reproduction to be used for news, web casts, promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by Closing The Gap. Images, photos and/or videos may be used to promote similar Closing The Gap events in the future, highlight the event and exhibit the capabilities of Closing The Gap. You release Closing The Gap, its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of interviews, photographs, computer images, video and/or or sound recordings. By participating, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, web casting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such use, exhibiting, broadcasting, web casting, or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by Closing The Gap or the person or entity designated to do so by Closing The Gap. You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability, and release before participating in the event.
