Length: 60-Minutes

This webinar describes Dr. Karen Erickson and Dr. David Koppenhaver’s “Red Yellow Green” AT implementation plan. Green represents a low demand or a task demand that a student can complete independently or with little support. Yellow represents a moderate task demand or a student requires a moderate amount of support to complete using their assistive technology. Red represents highly demanding tasks or a student who requires a lot of adult support to use their assistive technology.

We’ll demonstrate applying this plan for students with varied AT needs, culminating in a personalized “Red Yellow Green” plan creation. Attendees will exit with a detailed AT implementation guide, ensuring consistent support and IEP alignment. Additionally, I’ll provide a step-by-step process for integrating AT plans into legally defensible IEPs, empowering attendees to champion student success.

As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Define a task demand.

  • Compose a Red Yellow Green AT implementation plan.

  • Construct a legally compliant IEP.
