Description: Training communication partners; school staff, peers, and families to gain comfort and confidence is essential for AAC implementation success.  Active, practical, and engaging learning opportunities provide the best outcomes.  This collaborative, hands-on, session will cover a variety of topics and ideas for providing professional development (PD) on AAC implementation and getting communication partner buy-in.  Participants will leave the session with creative ways to find time for PD (in-person and virtually), content to include in AAC training, videos to share, and so much more! They will also leave with their own personal presentation slides and plan for providing PD for the school year.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations must be received in writing by Closing The Gap on or before October 1, 2024. Replacements are welcome and must also be submitted in writing.

Cancellation fees:

  • $200 for each 1-day pre-conference workshop
  • $300 for each 2-day pre-conference workshop
  • $100 for each single-day conference registration
  • $250 for each full conference registration. Applicable to standard rate, Solutions member rate, presenter/exhibitor rate and conference registration and membership combo rate.

No refunds will be issued after October 1, 2024. Unpaid balances are due in full.

If for any reason beyond Closing The Gap’s control, Closing The Gap determines that the in-person conference must be cancelled, attendees understand and agree that their registration type shall be changed to a virtual registration. Closing The Gap is not responsible for any additional conference expenses, including hotel, travel, etc.
