Description:
In this workshop, participants will learn about the process of providing children with significant motor disabilities with the ability to play, access curriculum, and control their environment using adaptive switch technologies. These ideas will be expanded on through a hands-on lab. Participants will create two distinct types of cause-and-effect devices using simple circuits. They will fabricate two adaptive 3D-printed switches and construct a 2-port switch interface. The built devices will be utilized to play a custom-made video game made by participants using Microsoft’s MakeCode Arcade platform.
