The Talkable 2 lets you record two 10-second messages — one for each of the device’s two buttons. This model works well when you need to choose between two activities or ideas, such as “yes” or “no.” Choose the white model for a different visual contrast.

Talkable 2 & White size: 7½”L x 4½”W x 3″H. Requires 4 AAA Batteries. Weight: ¾ lb.

Talkable 3 Communicator With Icon Holders

If you need to communicate with three ideas, you can choose the Talkable III for an additional option. It has three buttons that correspond to three five-second messages.

Talkable 3 size: 10½”L x 5″W x 2¾”H. Requires 4 AA Batteries. Weight: 1 lb.

Talkable 4 Multiple Message AAC Communicator With 12-Level Option

Thanks to the Talkable 4’s four buttons, you can work with four ideas expressed with four five-second messages. The standard model comes with a single level, or set of messages. To communicate up to 48 messages, choose the 12-level Talkable 4. You can turn the level knob to choose among 12 sets of messages.

Talkable 4 size: 14″L x 5½”W x 2¾”H. Requires 4 AA Batteries. Weight: 1½ lbs.

Usable as a Switch for Adapted Toys and Devices

Every Talkable model includes jacks to operate adaptive devices. They include one jack per button, letting you assign a device to each button. When you connect your Talkable to adaptive devices, the messages play at the same time as the device activates. This feature allows you to provide immediate reinforcement. It makes devices like the Talkable 4 multiple message AAC communicator easier to use for people with visual impairments.

Who Can Use Talkables?

People with disabilities, their family members, their loved ones, their teachers and their speech therapists can use Talkables for communication. These devices can suit a wide range of communication needs thanks to their scalability. Choose a Talkable with fewer buttons to express simple messages, or invest in the 12-level model for more complex communication. The Talkables series can grow with the user as they learn communication skills.

Enabling Devices Services

Toys and Devices Proudly Made in America

Did you know that much of what we sell is designed and crafted in America? While not every product and internal component is American-made, every item that we design is built by us in our New York workshop—not sent offshore for manufacturing. This gives us the ultimate quality control as well as the flexibility to tweak our products for continuous improvement.

Our Philosophy

While other companies mass-produce their products overseas and only manufacture the most profitable items, we at Enabling Devices subscribe to my late father, Steven Kanor’s philosophy: “If an item is someone’s only entry point into the world, we’ll keep selling it.” For example, though we sell no more than 30 eye blink switches per year, we continue to make them available. It matters to us that our customers who rely on them continue to have access to them.

Because of our production methods and philosophy, the cost of manufacturing and adapting relatively small quantities of toys and devices at our New York headquarters can be high. We also realize that when you buy our products you are making a significant investment. So, here’s what we pledge in return: Enabling Devices will produce high quality products, manufactured in America by our own highly trained and highly dedicated technicians. When they malfunction, we will do our best to repair them or we will replace them. Additionally, we are committed to providing guidance, advice, personalized instruction and service to our customers. We welcome your calls, emails, questions, concerns and feedback and as always, we are supremely grateful for the opportunity to serve you.
